ADSL: Is Uncapped Capped or Uncapped â
Recent Gauteng Business News
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) continue to deceive unsuspecting ADSL
customers with their multimillion Rand advertising budgets. They continue to
disconnect uncapped customers when it seems that they are abusing the
network.
According to OpenWeb CEO Keoma Wright, they cannot get the simple term of
âuncappedâ ADSL right. âUncapped actually means unlimited, it doesnât mean we
will sell you an âeat as much as you like buffetâ, but when you feel like
having a second helping, we slap you on the wrist and remind you that everyone
needs their share and if you keep on eating, we simply kick you out.â
âI have coined it the disconnected culture, they actually disconnect what
they perceive as âgreedyâ clients from their networks and conveniently claim
that clients are abusing their terms of service.â
OpenWeb Provides the Real Uncapped ADSL
Wright says corporate ISPs are so terribly
disconnected from the real world that they are starting to believe that their
state of mind should become the norm. âBetween their countless meetings
and smoke breaks, they have come up with a âFair Usage Policyâ that is so
disconnected from the real world, it looks like a piece written by Julias
Malema.â |
