BUSINESS: The Business Analytics Framework
Recent Gauteng Business News
This week will see the
SAS Institute introduce its Business Analytics Framework (BAF) to delegates in
Johannesburg and Cape Town. Hosting two informative business
breakfasts events on the 15th and 16th October in Johannesburg and Cape Town respectively, SAS will introduce and
unpack BAF for its delegates to help them realise the next level in business
analytics.
"Understanding that
businesses have masses of data that they often don't manage correctly or utilise
to its full value, we would like to introduce BAF as the tool to use to solve
everyday business problems," says Goran Dragosavac, National
Product Manager Analytical Intelligence at SAS Institute South Africa.
Several speakers will share analytics insight and real world
experiences and a panel of experts will present their thoughts and will demonstrate
how to solve critical business problems. They will also provide insight into the
importance of Data Integration, Analytics and Reporting and explore the use of
analytics in a flexible framework to predict future business decision outcomes
and challenges and yield maximum return from IT investments.
There will be speakers from FNB and BIA who will explain and take attendees step by step
through their own journey in adopting an analytics framework in their
businesses, and SAS experts who will offer insight into practical SAS Analytics
application. Robert Schmikl from FNB will be presenting FNB – A customer success story “Moving with the
Times” while Andoret Venter, Principle Consultant and SAS Partner
from BIA will deliver on Data Integration
and Data Quality: Landscape or Landslide. Craig Stephens, EIP SAS
Consultant will offer insight into Positioning
the Enterprise Intelligence Platform on BAF and Goran Dragosavac
will deliver an Overview of text mining in
context of business analytics framework.
