“SAITEX is the perfect ‘two-way street’ for trade opportunities,” continues Thomson, adding that SAITEX it is the most international show of its kind on the continent.
SAITEX 2009 to be held at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand focuses on cross-border as well as international trade. Exporters from over 34 countries will be attending the show exhibiting a large variety of retail products, mostly food and beverages but also including medical supplies, health and beauty products, handcrafted items, leather products, clothing and jewellery, to mention but a few. An import/export business and trade fair* *with exhibitors representing various industry sectors, SAITEX is the only multi-sectoral trade event in South Africa.
Exhibitors and visitors will be able to meet and learn from their foreign counterparts on how to trade across Africa and the continents, whilst identifying new markets and products for their respective businesses. There will be large representation from countries like Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Poland, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Whilst closer to home Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Malawi are all participating.
A free business matchmaking programme will be run at the expo increasing opportunities for businesses to interact and identify profitable opportunities. Networking with companies from across the globe will ensure all participants benefit from their experience at SAITEX.
