Recent Gauteng Business News
Fusion SA accomplished a hat trick last night at the 15th Annual BPeSA National BPO Awards gala event at Helderfontein Estate, Gauteng.
For a third consecutive year, the company won two National Gold
Awards: Best Offshore BPO Centre of the Year, Best Offshore Customer Service Centre of the Year, and a National Silver Award for Sales Agent of the Year, Abigail September. Abigail was awarded Regional Gold as Sales Agent of the Year Western Cape while Fusion SA took home Regional Gold as Best Offshore BPO Centre Western Cape and Best Offshore Customer Service Centre Western Cape.
Fusion SA, Managing Director, Johann Kunz said on receiving the awards, “A third win validates the Fusion SA value proposition and the excellence we strive for in partnership with our clients. Our company, our people and the way we operate is based on a strong set of values on which we have built our corporate culture.
“It is our belief that independent industry recognition carries no guarantees, but does, most definitely, motivate us in our journey of continuous improvement.”
The excellence awards were the climax of National BPO Week and the Annual National BPeSA Conference organised by Business Process enabling South Africa, the national co-ordinating industry association representing the interests of the Business Process Outsourcing and Offshoring sector in South Africa.
This year, categories were updated to ensure inclusivity and to reflect individual and organisational diversity across the industry. All BPO Centres were eligible for entry, as well as supplier companies and individuals within South Africa. The awards provided opportunity for companies and individuals to stand out as leaders in the South African BPO sector and benchmark their companies against global best practice.
Judging took place against pre-set criteria that incorporated and recognised the National BPO Standards – SANS 990 framework – which ensures the industry has the same reference and calculation methodologies.
Judges were: Jackie Naughton of BYC Solutions, Andre du Toit of Andre due Toit Consulting, Derryn Campbell of Awesome SA, Jake Orpen of QMetrix and audited by KPMG.
