| Description: | Description: Technical support and maintenance services on the CIDB LAN and WAN infrastructure and related software To assist in the discharging of its responsibilities, the CIDB invites tenders for the provision of network maintenance and support services. The proposed services CIDB addresses the need for resources to provide technical support and maintenance services to the CIDB Technology Infrastructure. Onsite technical support engineers will cater for internal IT business requirements such as reporting, backups, helpdesk, log and event management, change management, defect management, and others including but not limited to the support and maintenance of software, hardware and end user requirements. The tenderer must be a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner with an Active Core Competency in the Server Platform and Core Infrastructure Optimization or Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency. The minimum certification levels for the onsite support is MCITP and the tenderer must have good knowledge of best practices, policies and procedures, backup and recovery, disaster recovery and auditing requirements within a regulated environment. Preference will be given to tenderers that can demonstrate ownership and control of the tendering entity/entities by Historically Disadvantaged Individuals. Price and quality shall be considered in the evaluation of tenders. Quality shall be determined through evaluation of the proposed organization and staffing, the relevant experience of key staff, and the organization. Only tenderers who fulfill the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders: 1. The entity must have at least one office within an 80 km radius from the CIDB office which is based in Groenkloof, Pretoria. 2. The entity must be a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner with an Active Core Competency in Server Platform and Core Infrastructure Optimization or Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competencies. 3. The entity must be in possession of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate. The physical address for collection of tender documents is:CIDB, Block N & R, SABS Campus, Leyds Street, Groenkloof, Pretoria. Documents may be collected during working hours after 09h00 and 15h00 from 1st of February 2010. No clarification meeting will be held. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail and late tenders will not be accepted.
