Masters of melodic rock, Flat Stanley, are set to take the stage at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino for their first gig in Joburg after a highly successful European tour in 2009.rnrnThe Cape Town-based group's two studio albums - 2004's Of Secrets and Wine and 2007's Between 2wo Worlds - have earned acclaim from critics and fans alike. In fact, Flat Stanley have enjoyed no fewer than six Top 10 radio hits off the two albums, including three number one songs on some of the country's biggest national radio stations. The band's single As I Am not only charted at number one on national radio, but was also licensed by MNET for use in one of their promo TV spots.rnrnIn early 2009 the band released their SAMA-nominated second album Between 2wo Worlds in Europe. The album was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a staggered rollout into the rest of the European Union and Russia over the following nine months.rnrnBut it's on the stage in front of a live audience where Flat Stanley's impeccable songwriting and astonishing musicality truly shines. Headlining major music festivals to crowds ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 has become a regular occurrence for Flat Stanley.
