| Description: | The WinKlik 55 Series is a new product range which was specifically developed to meet the needs of both the affordable and low cost housing market. This range offers a Steel-Fibre-Cement frame with the advantages of added value being that the aluminium window sashes are fully included. These sashes would fit directly into our 55 series frame, and secured with the friction stays. Our “Steel-Fibre-Cement” frames offer a far greater ductility value due to the steel fibres in the formula. This ductility feature allows for a more forgiving frame, which is far less brittle than competing products, and far more user-friendly. Builders can feel very confident with the product. The range features 29 different “opening sash and fixed pane” configurations, allowing the Specifier adequate choice and flexibility. The need to break from the usual restricted low cost window options has been recognized by this joint initiative between WinKlik and Durowin. The building process is as follow. Once the walls are at sill height, the builder positions the Series 55 frames correctly, and builds them into the wall completely. All the plastering and painting can follow in sequence, but with the added value being that they can be started and finished in one process---no returning later for the reveals or sills, as is the case with current systems. The developer/builder creates value through speed of construction, zero damage to the aluminium frames, zero theft of sellable items, quicker hand-over rates, and far better cash flow. At the appropriate time, the builder can request for the sashes and glass to be fitted. This will be done by our teams of experts!
