COAL BRIQUETTING - Simplifying ENERGY
QUALITY SUFFICIENT RELIABLE ALTERNATIVE
WELCOME
The demand for a competitive alternative to mineral coal used as fuel in heating processes (e.g. Heatco & John Thomson) as well as the clay brick manufacturing processes, resulted in HEAT COAL production of coal briquettes.
OUR AIM
To provide the reader with a concise basic information on our coal briquettes.
Simplifying ENERGY
BRIQUETTING
The entire world is at present concerned over limited natural resources which are becoming scarcer by the day. Globally scientists are exploring the use of non - conventional energy sources. Coal Briquetting technology is a step towards this to achieve the above goal.
In recent years there has been a significant increase in the consumption of conventional fuels (e.g. furnace oil, coal lignite wood etc.) in small & medium industries for their processes involving heat treatment fuels. There is a need to adopt some innovative technologies which can produce energy by recycling available inputs without chaining the quantum of existing ones.
There is a tremendous scope to reduce the waste of conventional energy sources to a reasonable level through the development; propagation and population of “COAL BRIQUETTING TECHNOLOGY” for production of briquettes agro reside to meet thermal energy requirements. Therefore this substitute energy medium is to give national priority as it appears to be the only permanent solution that one can think of the survival & growth of the small & medium industries resulting into restrictions of national loss.
Flexible solutions for your business needs
ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANTAGES
Coal Briquettes generate 40% less smoke in comparison to normal coal.
CAN BE HANDLED BY MACHINE
The product is firm and hard enough to be moved and / or loaded by machine /
front–end loader.
MOISTURE RESISTANCE
Although it is essential to cover the briquettes with canvas to ensure optimal performance, the product will not disintegrate as a result of direct contact with water.
HEAT GENERATION
The briquettes generate virtually the same amount of heat as B – grade coal
STRENGTH TEST
80 -100Kg
BURN TEST
Briquette (21 CV) compared very favourably with B grade coal (27CV).
PRICING
Although the performance of the briquette compares favourably with B-grade
coal, it is cheaper (comparable to the pricing of D-grade coal).
PRODUCTION
A pilot plant currently produces approximately 3000 metric tons per
month, although this production capacity will soon be increased to 16000 metric tons per month.
In view of the information above, as well as the battle against air pollution, the consumer gets the performance of B-Grade coal at the price of D-grade coal, with an added advantage of much less harmful emissions.
