MasterCard hosted a fraud and risk golf day to bring together the stakeholders in the card industry to enjoy themselves and share experiences in the area of fraud and risk management.  The event was professionally hosted and coordinated by Renee Greetham, Head of Customer Risk and Security Services for MasterCard Africa.

The MasterCard Fraud Golf Day was well attended by industry players from MasterCard itself, fraud and risk management consultants, PCI compliance consultants, loyalty card providers, card manufacturers, ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB and Nedbank and payment gateways.

According to Renee Greetham of MasterCard "The aim of the MasterCard Golf Day was to raise awareness of fraud and risk in the card industry and to bring industry players together to share their experiences and promote cooperation in combating fraud in Africa."  The day was a resounding success, with participants discussing and sharing fraud and risk cases and fraud management solutions and the exchanging of business cards.

Good fun was had by all and the day facilitated and stimulated good conversation around the challenges industry players are experiencing with fraud and risk management and recognition that the success of combating fraud in the card industry requires a cohesive approach with all industry players working together.
