Some of the more important concepts you need to understand from this chapter are:

- and New Business opportunities

In this Blog, EasyPass would like to highlight – what is an entrepreneur.

According to the website http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-an-entrepreneur.htm :

“An entrepreneur is an individual who accepts financial risks and undertakes new financial ventures. The word derives from the French "entre" (to enter) and "prendre" (to take), and in a general sense applies to any person starting a new project or trying a new opportunity.”

An entrepreneur is basically a person that:

- identifies a gap in the market,
- is willing to take the risk to start a new business,
- obtains the resources needed to start the business
- normally comes up with a totally new business idea or a better way of doing what other businesses are currently doing

Some well known entrepreneurs around the world are:

Bill Gates who started Microsoft
Sir Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin
and South African, Mark Shuttleworth, who sold his company  “ Thawte"  for  R 3.5 Billion!
