The order, delivered towards the end of April 2009, consists of Trelleborg Marine Systems (Fentek) cylindrical fenders of various sizes. “Trelleborg cylindrical fenders have a proven performance track record. The fenders are Pianc certified and feature a simple, economical design which is both easy to install and to maintain. The fenders have being designed with thick external walls which are highly resistant to tearing. Trelleborg Marine Systems is one of the few marine fender manufacturers in the world to carry approval from Pianc- the International Navigation Association - for its products. “Pianc certification lets you know that you have acquired a quality product. There are manufacturers who pawn inferior products onto the market at great expense to the end user. In some instances fenders without Pianc certification have failed third party testing after just five compression tests,” says Mohlabakoe.
