Security: BetaTrac Real-Time Mobile Image Surveillance Platform

Keith Lawrence, BetaTrac CEO, says “Despite world-wide availability of new products and services, including those with GPS, our RapidTrac and eBodyGuard products are the first to provide an operator with visible and live proof of events as they happen. This means, for the first time, anywhere in the world, real-time images can be streamed to control centres monitoring field workforces, vehicles and goods-in-transit.”
He adds: “BetaTrac’s high-tech platforms have undergone successful field trials over the past 7 months and have already received accolades from the local guarding industry, so much so that two of these pilot trials have recently become commercial contracts.”
BetaTrac Telematic Solutions was established in 2002 to develop and market a geo-visual / audio, real-time, telematics security system for the protection of field-workers in high-risk environments. This led to other product applications within the fields of transportation (both goods and people), security and guarding.
In 2004, Coach USA, a company operating the world’s largest bus fleet of some 20,000 units, selected BetaTrac’s safety / security platform, namely BetaTrac Pro. This was, then, a leading GPS and voice platform. This commercial success was followed by BetaTrac winning two confidential European Government tenders for VIP protection.
Further developments over the past 3 years resulted in 2 cutting-edge products, namely RapidTrac, utilizing an “in-vehicle” visual monitoring system and eBodyGuard, a composite vest with GPS and surveillance camera, worn by field personnel, in particular security guards. The products, with a full white-paper reporting facility, double as a very powerful management “tool” for the administrators.
Says Lawrence: “BetaTrac’s eBodyGuard was designed as the safety “shield” for the security guard. The product’s prime focus is the safety of the guard himself, so that he can execute his duties in total confidence. The vest is a part of his uniform apparel and not an object that has to be carried manually and this enhances efficiencies of the guard’s duties.”
“Furthermore, as crime has become more rampant life, the mobile camera is a huge technological step forward in the fight against crime. Recorded real-time images will stand up in a court of law, resulting in swift sentencing of perpetrators. While fixed CCTV has done much to deter crime, BetaTrac’s new mobile image products will do much more.”
BetaTrac’s innovative products are aimed at a wide range of markets, including security, police, emergency services, military, utilities, medical transportation, construction and forestry, as well as Logistics of high value cargo, public transport, and taxi industries.
