Law: Zuma's Lawyer Reported to KZN Law Society
Recent Gauteng Business News
Michael Hulley, who is ANC president Jacob Zuma's lawyer, has been reported to the KwaZulu-Natal Law Society for possessing "classified material".
The trade union Amicus SA decided to lodge the complaint, and asked the body to investigate how it was that Hulley came to be in possession of what have been called the Mbekigate tapes, those being of tapped phone conversations had between former prosecutions boss Bulelani Ngcuka and former Scorpions boss Leonard McCarthy.
When announcing his decision to drop the charges which had haunted Zuma for eight years, the acting national director of public prosecutions Mokotedi Mpshe cited political interference in the timing of the re-charging of Zuma as reason, and the leaked tapes as evidence of that.
