COMMUNICATIONS: Vox Telecom Adds New Voice Service Plan to YahClick Offering

Recent Gauteng Business News

Vox Telecom has launched a new package for their customers, combining their popular telephony product, the Vox Supafone, with their high-speed, affordable satellite internet service YahClick. The two new YahClick -Vox Supafone package respectively adds four and eight voice-prioritised channel to the broadband offering at a low cost.

The package is ideal for both SME and enterprise clients. “The first package brings 4 dedicated voice channels with a quality of service on the line, which is suited to smaller business. This is a 5Mbps package and is priced at under R2500 per month. The second package is a 15Mbps line, with 8 voice channels with a quality of service on the line, which is suitable for enterprise customers,” says Jacques Visser, project manager for YahClick.

Visser says that using a voice-prioritised service plan means that customers can make concurrent calls with no packet losses. “The voice channel will not slow down the data that is being used whatsoever, and the quality remains consistently high.”

As with all Supafones, phone calls between branches and other Vox-to-Vox Supafones are made free of charge.

YahClick is a broadband satellite service utilizing Ka-band technology, which allows for fast Internet speeds at a lower cost. The service has been extremely popular in rural areas, where previously businesses and communities have not had access to a reliable internet service, or in urban areas where their broadband connection is unreliable.

Additionally, customers taking advantage of the offer within the next three months will receive their installation and hardware absolutely free. “Both the installation and the hardware required, including the satellite dish and router, will be free for all business and enterprise customers that place an order between 1 March and 31 May 2013,” says Visser. The installation is fast and unobtrusive, comparable that of a television satellite service like DStv, comprising of a satellite dish and a router.

YahClick business and enterprise packages vary in cost and size, with the most comprehensive package allowing usage of up to 360GB of bandwidth per month.
