Business: Pro-Fit to Announce Dunair Distribution Rights
Recent Gauteng Business News
Pro-Fit, an automotive accessories aftermarket supplier and a member of the MICROmega group, will be launching its range of Dunair vehicle air-conditioner spares at this year’s inaugural Automechanika exhibition later this week.
Dunair aftermarket air-conditioners are manufactured by OEM-approved Smiths Manufacturing. According to Pro-Fit managing director, Jackie Eberle, while Pro-Fit has supplied Dunair vehicle air-conditioners to its vendors for many years, the addition of Dunair components and spares to its product distribution catalogue is a substantial value add.
“In the past our vendors serviced and repaired automotive air-conditioners without any parts support from us,” Eberle explains. “Partnering with Dunair, Smiths’ aftermarket business, affords us the ability to support our vendors while growing our own business significantly.
“While parts and spares supply has not previously been part of our business, we have identified a need for quality products in the automotive aftermarket.”
The Dunair brand is respected in the automotive air-conditioner aftermarket. Smiths Manufacturing, which produces the range, enjoys a large share of the automotive air-conditioner market.
Says Eberle: “Entering the parts and spares market with Dunair products increases our product and inventory offering as well as our market penetration. It is also a good strategic fit for Pro-Fit, given our alignment with high quality brands targeting the high end of the market.”
