HTI Looks Forward to Next 3 Years for eRes Software
This was announced by HTIÂ’s marketing executive, Rory Montgomery, who said that the company unveiled a three year road map for the companyÂ’s flagship during 2011.
The company supplies its eRes software to over 90 groups, spanning more than 2500 properties globally. The software – a web-based application that interfaces seamlessly with most major property management systems, travel agents, tour operators and marketing portals –is said to be the most widely used CRS in Africa. The company boasts a number of blue chip hotel groups among its client base, including Protea Hotels, City Lodge and Southern Sun.
HTI Develops a Multi-Itinerary Internet Booking Engine
One of the core features developed during the past 12 months is a multi-itinerary Internet Booking Engine (IBE), which Montgomery described as a “simple four-step booking process from ‘look to book’, which gives users a logical and streamlined booking experience.
“We looked at five leading international standards with regards to our IBE and took a best of breed approach from all five, developing a local version which, from an operational and functionality point of view, is arguably one of the most effective off the shelf solutions on the market.”
He said the software enhancement to eRes will be “ongoing”, adding that the investment in the company’s flagship software will bear fruit during the next few years and will assist the company to grow its client base, especially into Europe, Asia Pacific and the rest of Africa where “market conditions are ripe for expansion.”
