Those of you who know Cathy will agree that she is seldom at a loss for words Â– but all that changed at the recent 2011 Africa SMME Awards, where Fetola overcame serious competition to take the Services Sector award at a glittering gala banquet at Gold Reef City last week.
2011 Africa SSME Awards Â– Recognising the Best
Â“I didnÂ’t think we had a chance of winningÂ”, says Cathy Â“So I was genuinely shocked and extremely delighted when our name was read out!Â”
The Awards have been running since 2006 and recognise the continentÂ’s best SMMEÂ’s in the trade, industrial and services sector, as well as new and emerging African businesses that are doing great things nationally and internationally.
What made this award even more special, was the fact that two of our Old Mutual Legends beneficiaries were fellow Finalists in other categories Â– well done to Serita Swart of KxoÂ’xo Designs and Beauty Mbongwa of Amazizi Cooperative!
