Fortunately, for businesses the public is largely ignorant of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). The Act came into effect on 1 April 2011. There is still time to find out how agreements, advertising, labelling, marketing, press releases, warrantees and guarantees should be written.

Be creative with brand placement, advertising and promotions. ‘Legislation does not mean you have to be boring,’ adds Patterson.
It seems there is no escaping the simple fact that every communication with your employee, colleague and client needs to be clear and concise. It must be impossible for anyone to misunderstand you.
