CA Southern Africa announced at the recent CA IT Management Symposium Africa 2011 that EOH Public Sector Consulting has been appointed as a strategic, accredited partner and supplier of CA products and service implementation within the public sector. The partnership combines the mutual strengths of EOH Public Sector’s consulting and domain expertise with the technologies and resources of CA Southern Africa.
Adapting and configuring world-class technology solutions to suit the specific needs of the client is what the public sector consulting division of EOH is focusing on. “A clear understanding of how our client in the public sector operates, allows us to configure and implement the technology with the purpose of maximising return on investment. The public sector invests substantially in technology, but a limited portion of the functionality is actually deployed and utilised on the ground,” says Dion Ramoo, EOH Executive Director.
The agreement with EOH saw an integration of CA Southern Africa employees and infrastructure into EOH, effectively expanding the footprint of both companies in the South African market. EOH is well established in South Africa and has offices in all major centres including local offices in the Eastern Cape, East London and Port Elizabeth.
The partnership between CA Southern Africa and EOH Public Sector combines the trends, technology, consulting and technical knowledge of both into a seamless solution that is very specific to the needs of the public sector. “Specific areas such as effective project management are very high on the agenda of Government. CA Clarity has an exceptional technology offering in that space that is rated best of breed in the industry. Through this partnership, we have built customised solutions to meet regulations while aligning with best practice processes,” explains Ramoo.
Gary Lawrence, Managing Director of CA Southern Africa says, “The close relationship between the two organisations has added tremendous value to our customer and partner base. The synergy between CA Southern Africa’s global expertise and EOH’s extensive knowledge of the local market has opened new doors for product and service development and expansion into Southern Africa. Both companies follow the same ethos of business excellence, which allows the client to deal with one institution that is considered to be an industry expert in the deployment of world-class solutions.”
Ramoo says that the implementation of new solutions and processes are often met with a healthy dose of resistance. “Many technology solutions are available but not many companies posses the focussed knowledge of the industry that EOH’s Public Sector division has. Utilising the industry knowledge, best practices and effective change management to minimise resistance to change is critical when delivering on a project effectively and efficiently, epitomising what we do” concludes Ramoo.
