Recent Gauteng Business News
The Webcom Group (Webcom), an end-to-end ICT products and solutions company, has recently improved its Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) rating to Level 2. This follows a year of commitment and dedication towards a supported process and outcome as rated by SANAS accredited rating agency BEE-Matrix.
Says Glen Miller, CEO of Webcom, "We are pleased with our latest rating as this reflects our strong commitment to sustainable empowerment and our efforts to comply with each aspect of the rating - from management and transformational policies, to skills development, social responsibility and, preferential procurement ."
For our customers, the new rating means that they can improve their rating by dealing with an organisation that is committed to the principles of BEE and is constantly working on improving its rating. Webcom is also particularly strong in its social responsibility initiatives, and commits to ongoing support of a number of organisations and charities.
Comments Miller, "When it comes to our CSI initiatives, we take the stance that the each organisation has unique challenges, and rather than merely handing out donations, the best way to assist them is to get actively involved and gain a deeper understanding of how we can provide sustainable support to disadvantaged communities throughout the year."
