Recent Gauteng Business News
Dr Andrew Golding, CE of the Pam Golding Property (PGP) group, has announced the appointment of John Herbst as national sales executive.
Based at PGP’s Gauteng regional offices in Hyde Park, Sandton, Herbst plays a national role in regard to the real estate group’s core focus on residential sales.
Says Dr Golding: “Key areas of John’s responsibility are not only to boost residential sales across the group and engage with new markets, but also to optimise PGP’s value offering to consumers. In so doing, this will further increase our competitive advantage and enhance brand equity.
“With vast experience gained in the property industry over some 30 years, he will play an important role in supporting the regions in their sales strategy with the objective of increasing market share and penetration nationally.”
A licensed estate agent since 1981, Herbst has a long and successful history in real estate both with PGP in the past decade – mainly in regard to the development of new enterprises within the group’s franchise network - and elsewhere in the property sector prior to that.
Apart from his successful track record as an agent, he is noted for his substantial contribution to real estate training in South Africa, with thousands of agents countrywide having passed through his training programmes.
Adds Dr Golding: “One of the key aspects of John’s role is to drive to new levels the group’s recruitment of talented real estate professionals while at the same time, nurturing existing agent talent. In this way, we aim to continue to be the brand of choice for the country's best estate agents in all areas in which we operate.”
