Marketing Concepts excelled at the prestigious South African Council Shopping Centres (SACSC) Spectrum Awards, announced last week. The company scooped five Marketing Awards– three gold and a duo of silvers.
Marketing Concepts was honoured for its excellent and innovative work for Canal Walk Shopping Centre, for which the company achieved two gold awards and a silver award.
Staking its claim in the spotlight, Marketing Concepts was also acknowledged for its marketing of Sandton City Shopping Centre and was presented a gold and silver award.
Niched in property marketing, Marketing Concepts is proud to represent many leading listed property counters and iconic retail and mixed use developments, as well as representative bodies of the property industry.
“The Spectrum Awards acknowledge the success of excellent marketing strategies. They honour the crème-de-le-crème of the retail sector,” says Kathryn Payton, managing director of Marketing Concepts.
The climactic announcement of the World Cup Springbok Rugby Team at Canal Walk heralded both a winning rugby team and a gold award for the centre’s marketing team for this promotion. With its heart of gold, the centre’s innovative social investment initiative, Canal Walk Foundation, also took gold, while Canal Walk Motor Show stole a slick silver.
Kicking some serious butt, Sandton City’s SoccerEx and Shopping Festival – which took Sandton City to thousands of international soccer visitors and brought those visitors into the centre -- won a glittering gold. The centre’s corporate social investment initiative, which includes its heartfelt support of the Reach for a Dream Foundation, as well as other worthy causes, scooped a sterling silver.
