JSE-listed employment services provider the Kelly Group has signed a global partnering agreement with Michigan-based Kelly Services, Inc (NASDAQ: KELYA, KELYB), a leading global workforce solutions provider.
In terms of the three-year agreement, the Kelly Group will extend its portfolio of services to Kelly Services’ clients in Africa and the Middle East while Kelly Services will offer its services to Kelly Group’s clients in the rest of the world. This partnership allows both parties to improve their ability to serve their clients outside their traditional geographical areas and to strengthen customer relationships.
In addition, Kelly Services will engage MSquared Consulting, the Kelly Group’s San Francisco-based operation which has traditionally operated in the Silicon Valley, to provide high-level consulting and contract services to its clients throughout the rest of the United States. The agreement also allows both parties to bid jointly for any global requests for proposals.
Grenville Wilson, chief executive of the Kelly Group, said that the partnership would help to extend both companies’ geographical reach, while serving as a viable platform for future collaboration.
“When we met to discuss a possible partnership, we realised we share similar strategies, built around solid values and culture that emphasise the importance of people in realising our objectives,” Wilson said. “We look forward to a long and mutually-rewarding relationship that will benefit our customers and employees alike.”
Kelly Services president and chief executive officer Carl T Camden said that the partnership will enable Kelly Services to deliver more comprehensive workforce solutions to our customers that desire to do business in the fast growing South African market. “Both companies share similar operating philosophies and we’re excited about the opportunity to work together in strengthening our customer and employee relationships.”
