INFOTECH: Marval Wins Vendor Olympics in Australia
Recent Gauteng Business News
For the first time ever, this year’s conference included the ‘Vendor Olympics’, in which solution providers were required to work against the clock to demonstrate a range of different scenarios and solve common service desk problems using their own product – with no preparation, and in front of a 400 strong conference audience. Participating vendors included Axios, Service Now, Touchpaper, VMWare Infra and HEAT to name but a few.
A series of tough preliminary ‘knock out rounds’ set the scene for the grand final between Marval and three other tool vendors. The final challenge was to demonstrate a non-IT process and workflow in just seven minutes. Marval Service Management (MSM) provided the functionality, speed and ease of use to meet the challenge – and walked away with the grand prize, with some participants failing to even configure their systems within the allotted time.
Comments Edward Carbutt, Executive Director at Marval South Africa, “This achievement demonstrates why MSM is trusted by so many organisations across diverse sectors worldwide. It’s fast, flexible and easy to use, allowing employees to direct their full attention to improving the service delivered to the business and its employees. We congratulate the Marval team in Australia on their victory.”
MSM - ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 enabled software - ensures a reliable IT and service infrastructure, increased productivity and adaptability in service provision. It provides the ultimate combination of ITSM process automation, functionality and flexibility, delivering a comprehensive ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 compatible solution out-of-the-box.
