Bennie Langenhoven, managing executive of Tellumat Telecoms, ShoreTel’s South African distributor, says while the study pertains to North America, its findings are just as applicable to the South African market place.
“The study focuses most heavily on customer experience and the capabilities, quality and features of products,” he says. “On both counts ShoreTel did exceedingly well in this study, which is totally in keeping with its track record.”
Concerning product capability and quality, ShoreTel has won numerous accolades for visionary design – its solution has been built from the ground up as a pure IP system, a fact that has served to eliminate network complexity and cost. The company delivers intrinsically lower total cost of ownership than competitors.
But in doing so, the vendor has not compromised on reliability. ShoreTel’s distributed architecture and flash-based appliance design has none of the moving parts of a server-based design, assuring its resilience and hassle-free deployment and management.
“When we launched ShoreTel a year ago in South Africa, it was the outcome of a long period of thorough evaluation,” says Langenhoven. “We wanted a visionary partner with next-generation technology. This report confirms that.”
As for customer service, Gartner’s findings confirm an earlier independent audit of ShoreTel, which lauds the integration of the vendor’s staff bonus system to a customer satisfaction index.
ShoreTel also recently announced it has won a total of seven 2009 MarketTools CustomerSat Achievement in Customer Excellence Awards. It is the third year in a row ShoreTel received at least two of these awards, demonstrating its long-standing commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
Confirms market position
Kevin Gavin, VP of marketing at ShoreTel, says: “We believe this report confirms our position in the market and our commitment to providing our customers with the industry’s best features, reliability and service. From small companies to large enterprises, ShoreTel’s true leadership shines.”
