Recent Gauteng Business News

1time Airline announces from Gauteng that they have employed the services of the Navitaire product suite to assist in their operational functions.

Navitaire is considered the airline industry leader in operations management. All their products are offered as hosted services from excellent data centres on three continents and they form part of the Accenture group of companies. Since their start, Navitaire’s customer base has grown to include over two-thirds of the world’s most profitable carriers, including nearly all of the most successful start-ups of the last decade.

The implementation of the program allows the airline to improve their operations even further. The program assists 1time, amongst other benefits, to improve upon their turn around times, and even control and manage their fuel more efficiently. By making use of Navitaire, 1time is able to go above and beyond their current product offering and provide their passengers with a superior product that continues to deliver on 1time’s promise of “More nice. Less price.”

‘We are extremely impressed with Navitaire and the results that we are seeing from the product,” says Rodney James, CEO of 1time Airline. “The product is beneficial on all levels of our business.”

For more than a decade, Navitaire has been a pioneer in implementing information technology and business process solutions that enable substantial profitability gains for their customers. Their recent acquisitions of the key assets of Caleb Technologies and Forté Solutions has expanded Navitaire's services portfolio to provide innovative products for daily operations planning, management and recovery to complement their distribution, finance and decision support services. Their extensive experience in building and operating key airline systems such as reservations, revenue management, revenue accounting and operations management and recovery, has enabled Navitaire to develop deep understanding and insight into the unique challenges of the airline environment.

“We have always said that the recipe for a successful airline is to create competitive differentiation, streamline operations and constantly innovate, all of which 1time aspires to do in the lives of our passengers,” concludes James out of Gauteng.
